Clara moved to Umeå from Stockholm to study at the Umeå School of Architecture in 2012. She graduated in 2017 with a bachelor's and master's degree. Since Clara wanted to stay in Umeå after her graduation, she applied for various architectural jobs and started working at the departmentfor detailed planning at Umeå Municipality. At Umeå Municipality, Clarahas been involved in the detailed development plan for Lilljansberget, aresidential and commercial area located close to campus. In addition, she handled the detailed development plan for the commercial area at Klockarbäckenand several housing plans within the urban areas as well as on the countryside. At the moment, Clara is mainly working on the planning program for Stallbacken (the freight yard at Umeå Central Station), the detailed development plans for Sävar travel center, Hamrinsberget and the industrial area at Klockarbäcken as well as the planning program for Österteg, where there are plans for housing inproximity to IKEA.
John studied architecture at the Umeå School of Architecture and graduated with a master's degree in architecture in the fall of 2016. John's thesis project was an equation for comparing the factors related to sustainable architecture. After completing his thesis work, John worked at MAF architectural office, followed by Sweco Architects Örnsköldsvik and then Sweco Architects Umeå. John works with architecture in all sizes. From windbreaks in the ARKNAT-project to larger industrial projects. John is especially interested in architecture as a part of nature and the impact of architecture on human behavior.
Erik Karlsson earned his bachelor’s degree at Umeå School of Architecture in 2019 and his master’s degree at KTH in 2022. During his final year at university Erik co-founded Peripheral Works, an architecture and graphic design firm in Umeå, with his former classmate Samuel Grönlund. Since graduating Erik has continued his work at the firm, taking on projects that range from small shelters to larger conference facilities. Today he is involved in all phases of projects, from initial sketches to final construction drawings.
